MHA of Ulster is bringing an adult group Wednesday mornings of this month and we just had another great day. We taught participants how to lead a large pony and then asked the group to work collectively - taking turns being a leader - and also a follower of directions. Leaders practiced giving directions to the horse and fellow team members in a clear, direct and polite manner. (Horses respond best to this - and so do most people!)
Next week: an activity to address boundaries . . . . how do you recognize and respect another's boundaries? How and why do you create your own?
Horses are obvious about their boundaries . . . how can we people learn from them?
(Stay tuned:) . . . .
